About this game

COMPOUND is a random, rogue-lite, free-roaming shooter for virtual reality veterans. Dodge and dodge enemy fire in a gritty fingernail-like retro FPS with multiple movement options. Get ready to die – many times – until you’re good enough to get to the heart of the company and take back what belongs to everyone…

What is it?
The concept of COMPOUND was originally built from the ground up for room-scale virtual reality away from the “wave shooting” mode common in early standalone vr games and toward a more comprehensive FPS experience. The trade-off is that the game may not be suitable for players who are still using VR.

Just me! It’s a passionate project; For the past 6 years, I have enjoyed working full-time at COMPOUND.

This game is so hard!
Rogue-lite games should be hard! But don’t give up – every (predestined) run will make you better. Eventually you will be proficient in the game and its systems and feel like a pro. If you’re still feeling frustrated, try playing easy mode, or head to the practice area to practice battling enemies in trouble. I’ve also added guides for new players pinned in the forum. Read it for tips on how to survive!

This game makes me sick
Unfortunately, some people’s motion sickness doesn’t go away, but that’s okay! COMPOUND should play perfectly using just transfers. In addition, there are various comfort options that may help prevent or alleviate motion sickness. Check out the options and try various combinations. You may find that a little tweaking can make it feel right for you.
